Responsibilities: • Lead and Manage the field Operations team to focus on the key Performance Deliverables, i.e. • Managing Customs Clearance & deliveries on the ground with coordination with the CSO. • Support customer service in customer query resolution and exception handling • Maintain relationships with Carriers, obtain rates and maintain tariffs • Work with CI on continuously improving processes, procedures to heighten productivity, timeliness and quality • Ensure compliance to internal & external audit controls Qualifications and skills: • 8+ years’ experience in managing large Operations / Customer service teams with minimum 5 years’ experience in the Logistics sector • Experience in Operations and wide exposure across all the logistics products & processes- Sea, Air, VAS including Trucking, CHB, Warehousing and Cargo-Insurance • Lean / Sigma, Process knowledge is a pre-requisite & experience of having worked in Operations office is beneficial • Passion for service delivery, responsiveness and for identifying constant improvements • Good understanding of MODS/Kewill/Fact – but not a super user necessarily • Familiarity with Damco Policies and Processes relating to the following is preferred: o Customer Service Quality Standards, Quotation Standards and Pricing Policy o Financial Management processes relating to credit approval process, invoicing / dunning, and job file profitability management o Forwarding Products including VAS, Insurance, etc. o Trade Lane Management process, including procurement process, allocation management process, Preferred Carriers, and Carrier charge structure Desired Behaviors Drive for Results • Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition.
