The Sauti Project is a USAID-funded active to improve the health of all Tanzanians through a sustained reduction in new HIV infections in support of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. Sauti uses vulnerability-tailored, evidence-based interventions to bring high-quality HIV prevention, HIV adherence support, and family planning promotion and service delivery to key and vulnerable populations (KVPs) in selected regions of mainland Tanzania .The following vacant posts are available for immediate, filling with the Sauti project. Senior Program Officer The senior program officer will provide programmatic support to the technical director, including compiling monthly work plans drafting proposals and budgets, working closely with the grants manager on program performance, she/he will support communication among central technical teams and field operations and participate in the national technical working group Required Qualifications: A basic University degree in social sciences. or a public health related field is required; Post graduate a certifications are an added advantage Academic degree in public health or other relevant field. 5 years of work experience in a voluntary, public, private sector or NGO. Self-management is necessary (Le. initiative, motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability) Ability to communicate effectively, instilling trust and confidence. Ability to handle a variety of different assignments' sometimes under pressure on deadlines. Be cooperative, competent, hardworking, flexible and dependable. Excellent interpersonal skills, inspiring teamwork and motivating fellow team members, consultants and partners to achieve results. Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform Excellent written and oral English and Kiswahili skills Abilities/Skills: A broad variety of programmatic, administrative, financial, and computer skills (including Word Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), which may need to be acquired through very quick learning. Experience in team working and multi-cultural staff. Excellent organizational skills.
