Job Purpose To provide high-level, confidential administrative support to the Co-Director's. This position is privy to confidential information and as such, requires diplomacy and discretion. This role will also provide strategic HR support to the Co-Director's with responsibility to operationalise the HR procedures and policies within Camfed Tanzania. This position includes all administration duties for the office environment alongside Line Manager responsibilities for administration and support staff. Specific Accountabilities • Provide efficient and effective personal administration support, including diary management, travel requirements and liaison with strategic donors to the two CoDirector's. • Provide high level confidential HR support to the Co Director's, acting as the point person for all aspects of HR within Camfed Tanzania team. • Support the implementation of Camfed's HR work plan alongside all National offices. • Manage the relationship with lawyers to ensure that contracts, policies and procedures are all compliant with Tanzania labour laws. • Overall responsibility for the HR Database to ensure it contains the information required to ensure data flow of all employees is captured and administered correctly in line with labour laws. • Manage the recruitment and induction process, to include the compiling of contracts and offer letters, in line with Co-Director's authorisation, to ensure best practice. • Manage the evaluation process to ensure evaluations are conducted following the policy guidelines and facilitate the training to all Evaluators and Evaluees. • Manage and advise on the staff training plan in line with the Benefits Policy. • Support the liaison with the Camfed Tanzania Board, including arranging board meetings and preparing documentation in advance. • Provide line management for administration and support staff including transport team and general office functions. • Any other duties as required Person Specifications Essential: • Proven solid experience of providing HR support and advice. • Relevant qualification in HR Management and Administration. • Ability to work with Executive Team, Board member level and exposure to external stakeholders. • Proven knowledge of employment legislation. • Excellent IT skills including competent database skills. • Flexible and able to prioritise competing work load. • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information with discretion and confidence. • Able to work under pressure and as part of a team both nationally and internationally. • Motivation and commitment to Camfed's work.
