ABOUT PINPOINT AFRICA MEDIA PinPoint Africa Media is a Digital Media Agency & Content Network in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Established in October 2012, the PinPoint Network is currently comprised of 26 of Tanzania’s top websites where we deliver nearly 60 Million ad impressions to over 1.8 Million people each month. PinPoint provides digital media planning, buying and evaluation services across the PinPoint Network, Google Ad Network, Facebook and other social media platforms. In addition to managing client digital ad buys, PinPoint also develops custom websites for companies large and small, and we are in the process of redesigning many of the sites in the PinPoint Network. As we continue to grow, our need for talented web developers and designers grows as well. Currently, we seek to fill the position of a Junior Web Developer. This position is suited for an entry level to mid-level developer looking to improve and grow in the field of web development. With this position you will be given tasks to develop and maintain codes for various clients hence giving you exposure to real life projects whilst improving upon your current skillsets. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication, time management and solid CMS platform knowledge. RESPONSIBILITIES: Contribute in planning, writing and maintaining website code, either from scratch or by using existing web technologies or CMS’s. Contribute to requirements gathering for upcoming web projects. To maintain and upload new web content on sites / apps as required. To test, report and recommend web and app performance enhancement opportunities to improve delivery results. Candidates MUST have the following skills to be considered: Excellent communication skills. Good ability to write website code using frontend and backend code, such as HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, SQL. Must be able to integration 3rd party site code and database queries to maximize performance speed. Good general knowledge of object oriented, and model view controller methods in programming. Must be able to multitask and manage time efficiently to learn & improve on technologies and skills above. Candidates MUST BE TESTED on key skills above, in order to be considered.
