CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To perform all underground and open pit geotechnical inspections/audits to ensure compliance to support standards as stipulated in the Shanta ground control management plan To conduct routine cemented rock fill system inspections pull tests installed support and CRF/CAF quality assurance and quality control To conduct support inspections and to provide geotechnical recommendations where required. All geotechnical activities carried out should cause minimum interruption to production work and be carried safely ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE ROLE • Conduct ground and support installations inspections audits to ensure compliance to support standards • To conduct routine system inspections and report on observations conditions • Conduct pre stopping audit reports to accompany mining instructions • Conduct mapping and core logging and updating of the geotechnical model database with this information’s • Ensure adhere to geotechnical standards performance and or behavior with regards to ground support • Provide ground training for inductions and supervision courses KNOWLEDGE AND EXPOSURES • minimum experience will be an added example • knowledge of any relevant geotechnical or mining design software is beneficial • knowledge of under mapping and core logging techniques • proficiency in mine design software, micromine SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • must have a valid Tanzania License and able to drive a light vehicle in underground mining • must have sufficient communications skills • able to maintain accurate records and reports • ability to interpreted mine layouts PERSONAL QUALITIES • physical fitness so as to be able to work in an underground mining environment • work under minimal supervision • committed to quality services to all customers • attention to detail • flexible and performance oriented • high level of interpersonal skills Application Instructions Applications submission deadline is two weeks from the date of this advertisement applicants are invited to submit their resumes and certificates to HR MANAGER, SHANTA MINING COMPANY LIMITED P.O.
