Procurement Supervisor

ON BEHALF OF A CLIENT Location Chalinze, Dar es salaam - Tanzania Job Objective: Overall responsible for stores/materials and procurement sections Duties & Responsibilities: • Controls and manage purchases requirements of the company to minimize downtime and cost • Organize the work of materials and procurement • Ultimate responsible for safe working practices especially areas of responsibility. • Vendor relationship management • Plan Monitor the procurement and materials department budget • Execute Procurement and stores policy implementation as directed by group Procurement Standard • Ensure that competitive quotes are obtained and orders placed • Any other duties assigned by the upper management Education Requirements • Degree in procurement & Logistics/Supply Chain Management • Registered member of a recognized professional body Experience • 5-8 years’ experience in senior procurement roles • Experience as a Buyer/Procurement Specialist Knowledge & Skills • Stores management • Logistics management • Computer literacy • Commodity procurement knowledge • Functional SAP Knowledge • Strategic sourcing experience • Strong supplier negotiation skills • Good planning skills and insight to foresee and investigate difficulties in obtaining parts, equipment, and other supplies • Reasonably independent and able to resolve own difficulties
