Objectives: The job holder will be fully responsible for setting core network KPIs, network performance and optimization, infrastructure lifecycle management and configuration management. Key Responsibilities: • To plan, design and develop core network as per company network roadmap. It involves delivery on time and with quality design HLD and LLD for control network.( core network elements including RAN controllers). • Obtain capacity and service requirements from the technical and commercial team and produce cost effective core network plans. This also entails full participation in the preparation and review of technical specifications in order to meet key network performance indicators and business requirements for new services and platforms. • Prepare quality detailed technical specifications, bill of quantities, tender documents to ensure efficient procurement of planned core network equipments • Lead acceptance testing processes for the Core Network. • Collect and analyze core network statistics against set KPIs and best practice so as to identify areas of improvement. This includes receiving and analyzing optimization reports from Network Performance and NOC. • Perform impact assessment (dependences) before recommending any changes in the network through direct reports, as well as leading any changes into the core network by producing appropriate Works Authorities. • Follow up on changes implemented in core network and ensure that impact assessment is done on changes made by testing and observation. • Review technology and service trends in the telecommunications field as relates to core network and recommends on areas of improvement. • Updates the control network data build documentation and keep the overall High level and low level design and network topology documentation up to date. • Create and manage the HW & SW roadmap for the control network elements. • Keeps informed about the developments (HW, SW and capabilities) of the control network elements. • Aligns and drives standard control solutions with other technology departments; Pro-actively improves the standard solutions to be more cost efficient, increase quality or maintainability. • Driving and steering suppliers for optimum commercially offered control network elements solutions, aligned and negotiated between supplier and TTCL and taking into account all aspects of scope, planning and costs. • Responsible for the capacity planning of the control network elements. This includes actively reporting on the utilization of the network infrastructure elements.
