Credit Controller

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the setting up of the credit control system Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner Meet cash & debtor day targets set by the company Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity Regular meetings with membership unit to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary Identify changes {n payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness Ensure that all transactions are compliant with TIRA regulations Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms Provide accurate advice on billing queries Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested Post payments to the ACCPAC and allocate as required Undertake debtors and revenue account reconciliations as required Assist in the preparations of the monthly management accounts Provide cover for other accounting functions as requested Daily Collection report and Monthly Triangulations Reports Other duties as delegated from time to time by supervisor Qualification and Experience: Education: CPA (T) holder Bachelor or Advance Diploma in Accounting Accounting system knowledge e.g. SAGE ACCPAC Five (5) years working experience as an Accountant Excellent computer skills. Proven technical accounting skills Attributes: Experience in insurance industry will be an added advantage Trustworthy and proven integrity Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent Interpersonal skills. Good listening skills. Team player Enthusiastic. Very hard working person. Fast learner, quick thinker and able to work with minimal supervision.
