Total introduces hi-tech clean fuel

Dar es Salaam. Total has introduced its hi-tech fuel which the company says cleans vehicle engines and produce less carbon emissions.

Excellium for petrol and diesel was launched yesterday by the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr Charles Mwijage, who said the move was leading evolution of fuel industry.

Total excellium’s formulation has been optimized with specific detergent additives to clean the engine’s vital components and keep them clean over time.

The result is up to 89 per cent less buildup for diesel engines and up to 93 per cent less for petrol engines, according to the company.

“This launch has come at the right time as we observe the environment week. The industry has come a long way but with technology, Total has registered a milestone in the Tanzanian market,” said Mr Mwijage.

The fuel is also said to provide lasting protection and lower consumption.

Total country chair and managing director Tarik Moufaddal said the launch was a clear demonstration of the company’s commitment into Tanzanian market.

“This is an important milestone for us in the country and a dedication to renewing Total commitment to better energy. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality services and products across our nationwide network,” he said. Total Excellium is available at the same price with regular Petrol and Diesel in all Total stations nationwide.
