Speaking during the handover ceremony at Mwangoye Primary School in Tabora Municipality, Tigo Lake Zone Director, Ally Maswaya, said the donation was in line with the company’s commitment to support the community.
“The donation is part of the company’s initiative to uplift people’s living conditions, we believe that we are playing a role in shaping future leaders and professionals in the country,” he said.
Mr Maswaya further said the company was keen to continue supporting the government to make sure there were sufficient desks in the country. Tabora Regional Commissioner (RC), Mr Aggrey Mwanri, said the desks would improve learning condition for children in the region.
Mr Mwanri said other well-wishers should join the government’s efforts in tackling shortage of desks in the country. He said 12 schools will benefit from the donation in which Tabora District will get 50, Urambo 100 and Nzega 200 desks.
