Mobile firm unveils M-Pesa app geared to simplify transactions

The app is new in mobile money platforms in Tanzania, geared to bring simplicity and sophistication of M-Pesa transactions.

The new M-Pesa app comes with new innovative features that enable users to enjoy improved transaction flows. For instance, with M-Pesa app users can view and hide their M-Pesa balances with a just a single tap at no cost.

The app also comes with advanced payment technologies which simplify payments at merchants and retail outlets where customers can complete payments by simply scanning Merchants’ QR codes.

Vodacom Tanzania Plc M-Commerce Director, Sitoyo Lopokoiyit said after extensive user research and testing, the app is now launched to simplify the use of M-Pesa amongst smartphone users by making transactions less tedious as it addresses many of the challenges facing the traditional USSD system.
