A high profile national health summit 2014

Theme: "Promoting Health Care Delivery by Engaging

            Policy Makers, Health Professionals and Suppliers"

For the first time in Tanzania, five renowned institutions will be organizing the Tanzania Health Summit 2014 in Dar es Salaam. The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW), Tindwa Medical and Health Services (TMHS), Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC), Association of Private Health Facilities (APHFTA) and The national Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA).

High powered-speakers from different countries will present and discuss eight keynote speeches with the aim of improving the healthcare delivery in Tanzania.

Notable keynote speakers expected to speak at the event includes, Hon. Dr. Seif Rashid Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. John Nkoma; Director General Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) and Dr. Kaushik Ramaiya; Chief Executive Officer Shree Hindu Mandal Hospital. Others includes, Dr. Janeth Maridadi; Assistant Director DPS – MoHSW, Dr. Karima Saleh - Senior Health Economist World Bank, Prof Khama Rogo - Head: Health in Africa Initiative - World Bank, Dr. Otilia Gowele - Director Human Resource MoHSW and Dr. Julius J. Massaga - Director Research Promotion and Coordination NIMR.

All keynote speeches will be followed by panel discussions consisting of four panelist in each keynote address. Senior and experienced health stakeholders will be given time to discuss and give their views on the topic of interest on each session followed by question and answers from other conference participants.

The summit will also involve 24 paper presentations and a special forum on Involvement of Health Sector into Big Results Now organised by Ministry of Health and Social Welfare on 14^th November 2014.

The Tanzania Health Summit is honor to host the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Mizengo Pinda as a chief guest and the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Hon. Dr Seif Rashid as our special guest.
