Financial Officer

Roles & Specification The Financial Officer will be expected to handle the following tasks: Coordinate the processing, recording, classifying and summarizing routine accounting transactions and preparing invoices for customers; Coordinate compilation of various documents such as supplier invoice, verifying their accuracy and initiating payments in accordance with established procedures; Coordinate monthly bank and supplier accounts reconciliation and journal entries; Coordinate the processing of statutory returns of PAYE, PPF, VAT, etc; Coordinate processing journal entries or other financial system entries; Maintain accounting records through filing, retrieval, retention , storage, compilation, coding and updating; Coordinate the organization's accounting functions with other staff members for as maintain accurate accounts; Coordinate the formulation, maintenance and adherence to company financial policy procedures and control systems; Coordinate the preparation, monitoring control and evaluation for budgets and expenditures; Assist the Manager in preparing and presenting financial reports and papers to the Policy I Advisory Committee (PAC); Any other duties that may be assigned by the Manager. Possession of a relevant Master's degree will be an added advantage; Holder of CPA (T) or its equivalent with minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in an Accounting or Finance position; Conversant with Tanzania Taxation Laws; Basic knowledge of information Communications Technology including hands on experience in Computerized accounting applications; Knowledge of International Accounting Principles and Standards. Knowledge, skills and abilities The above candidate is expected to have the following qualities: Ability to work flexible hours. Good interpersonal communication skills Proactive and self-starting with ability to work unsupervised or with minimum supervision. Achievement and result oriented team player.
