Provider Network and Health Promotions Officer

Provider Network Management – Assist the Provider Network and Heath Promotions Manager in: ? Identifying, evaluating and entering into agreements with new medical services providers to be added on the Strategis associated provider list. ? Maintaining up to date agreements and contract documentation of Providers. ? Setting a benchmark for prices of various services for each category of healthcare provider on the basis of historical data available, comparative prices and the cost of different components involved in each service. ? Negotiating for preferential prices that are better than what is charged for a walk in patient. ? Ongoing communication intervention and maintenance of good relationships with Strategis providers. ? Reconciliation of claims from the medical services providers against payments. ? Oversee the smooth functioning of the real time access system being implemented. ? Oversee smooth functioning of industrial clinics to ensure agreed standards and expectations of clients are met. ? Coordinates with internal functions such as Claims/Finance regularly for ensuring all deliverables as per contract of agreement with the providers are met consistently within the promised time line. Responsible for providers’ payments/ timely sending of provider reimbursement cheques and remittance advices. ? Facilitate regular meetings/discussions with the providers for ensuring hassle free services for insured members of Strategis. Health Promotion Management ? Overall assistance to clients to improve their health and increase control over it by raising awareness of good health, diet and exercise through training and workshops. ? Arranging medical checkups, health talks, health tips and relevant presentations where required and as per client requests. ? Analysis of clients’ claims data and identifying areas where intervention with health promotion methods will help reduce claims, then giving advice on the possible interventions to be put in place including setting up of Health indices which are disease related and monitoring thereof ? Developing health promotion initiatives aimed at reducing chronic disease claims arising from members with hypertension, diabetes mellitus and other chronic illnesses. ? Liaising with clients to support their existing healthy living/employee wellness initiatives. ? Keeping up to date with current health promotion trends. ? Writing reports on the initiatives in place and progress. General performance standards: ? Ability to perform under minimum supervision. ? Positive attitude. ? Team player. Education including specialized training: ? Qualification in the medical field/medical sociology (Public Health Officer, Medical Officer, Nursing Officer, AMO, CO, Sociologist). Work experience: ? Two years experience in local hospitals or clinics OR medical insurance with experience in discharging at least four of the responsibilities mentioned above. Other attributes: ?
