RESPONSIBILITIES Operations Research and special studies: 1. Devise a detailed timeline for implementation of study activities in collaboration with the RTP program/technical team. 2. Work with the PI and co-PIs to develop and implement rigorous process evaluation including but not limited to creating data collection tools, training appropriate staff on tools, collation and quality assurance of incoming data. 3. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of any technical support staff specifically engaged in the carrying out of implementation protocol; acts as liaison between program and technical staff in Dar es Salaam and EH headquarters. 4. In consultation with the EH Field Office Managers, EH/RTP ME&R staff and relevant MOHSW counterparts, ensures the logistical planning and execution of integration implementation activities including but not limited to: coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, assisting with facility upgrades and commodities logistics, planning training activities, coordinating trainee follow-up by trainers, etc. 5. In coordination with PI and partner organizations local staff, ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities Key Qualifications: • First degree in demography, social sciences, statistics, computer science, IT/HMIS, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience • Certified training in advanced skills in computer programming and analytical software is an advantage. A background in health science or related discipline is also an advantage • At least 5 years work experience in health related data management and health research. • Experience in research and monitoring in a clinical setting required • Experience in managing and implementing large-scale health research studies, including all aspects of coordination, ethical approvals, activity management and process documentation. • Experience in designing data entry applications • Experience on working with statistical data analysis package like SPSS, STATA excel etc • Proven experience on performing quantitative and qualitative analysis • Strong research and communication/writing skills • Sound knowledge of the Tanzania’s MOH Information Management System (MTUHA) • Experience working with NGOs and/or donor-funded programs • Knowledge of family planning and reproductive health issues preferred Apply: Please visit the careers page at www.engenderhealth.org to submit you details online by 30th September, 2015.
